Bradley E. Rein, of Natick, Massachusetts, has been identified as the suspect arrested and charged with reckless homicide after crashing his Toyota 4Runner through the front window of an Apple store in Plymouth County, Massachusetts on Monday.
Rein, 53, was arrested following a crash that killed one person and injured at least 16 others on Derby Street in Hingham around 10:45 a.m. Monday.
Rein was issued a citation for drunk driving in Vermont nearly two years ago.
Rein was arrested Monday night and will be arraigned Tuesday on a charge of reckless homicide by motor vehicle after an investigation by state and local police into the crash in Hingham, southeast of Boston, the Plymouth County district attorney’s office said.
The 2019 Toyota 4Runner crashed into the store’s plate glass window and struck people Monday morning. The victim who died was identified as Kevin Bradley, 65, of New Jersey.
Over a dozen ambulances were called to the scene to transport victims, 14 people were taken to the South Shore Hospital and two were taken to Boston-area hospitals.
